Mixed Grill is an ongoing multi-arts and experimental program, that enables and embraces diverse artworks, contexts and traditions.
From visual arts, to DJ culture, experimental performance, new media, contemporary music, cultural dance, sound art, circus and cabaret, a Mixed Grill program draws threads between divergent context, diverse artist and forms, into a cohesive, embedded and illuminating program for the punters.
Across traditional stages and non-traditional spaces, Mixed Grill is a one-day/night festival of eclectic and contrasting works that push audience expectations, and celebrate the artist and individual; approaches and contexts.
Born as a program at the 'producer run space' Arthouse, in 2011, the program emerges at critical points in time. The most recent Mixed Grill, 'other', took place at Bulmba-Ja Contemporary Arts in Gimuy in January 2024, to close the group exhibition 'other' at Northsite Contemporary Arts.
